The new Microsoft HoloLens is a headset that uses holographic technology to create a more personalized surrounding for the user. In the eyes of the user, the headset allows for the illusion of projected images onto any surface, which shows a mix of standards between reality and augmented reality (overlaid images) to further demonstrate virtual reality. The visual distinctions between the two blends each reality into one, creating an entire new world that is possible to interact with. Essentially the use of HoloLens is compatible with any different user that decides to use it. It can be used for anything; from video games and Netflix, to business meetings and visual face calls with clients from anywhere in the world with Internet connection. The interactions involved with the HoloLens consist of touch, sound, voice, and gestures. The product is currently in the prototype phase but is expected to be released to the public as early as 2015, and to groups such as NASA as early as July 2015 .
